Our Story

Seven decades of
neighborhood baking.

Washburn Ave has been a fixture on the North Minneapolis corner since 1947. What started as a small family bakery has grown into a beloved neighborhood destination — but the approach hasn't changed: bake it right, treat people right, show up every day.

Our bakers arrive before dawn. Every loaf of sourdough, every croissant, every pie crust is made the old way — with real butter, proper fermentation, and the kind of attention that can't be rushed. The grocery side carries the same philosophy: quality over quantity, items we'd actually use at home.

We're proud to be part of this community. The regulars who've been coming for decades, the new families finding their corner store — that's what makes this place special.
